Maybe you have heard of a treatment method that promises to cure your Yeast infection in as little as 12 hours.  If you have struggled to overcome Yeast infections for any length of time, this may sound more than a little unrealistic, especially if you have tried and failed with both medications and natural remedies.  What I have found, though, is that a 12 hour cure for yeast infection is something that is possible.  The answer just lies deeper than either of these methods has the capacity to address.  In order to understand why this method works, it’s important to understand why the other methods don’t.

There are plenty of 1 day over the counter-the-counter methods available.  These are available in creams and suppositories.  Both can be effective and many women have had success with them.  Monistat and Canesten are among the most popular products available.

The problem, though, is that many women have experienced very bad side effects as a result of these over-the-counter medicines.  The itching, redness, burning, and swelling that they are seeking relief from can actually be enhanced as a result of taking these drugs.  Even if the symptoms temporarily go away, they inevitably come back.  This can turn into what may seem an endless cycle of returning to the doctor and purchasing more and more medicine.  But these medicines never get to the root cause of the problem. 

So, with all the potential problems associated with taking over-the-counter medications, is there really a 12 hour yeast infection cure available?  The good news is that there is.  Natural treatments get to the root cause of the problem by killing the Candida fungus that causes the infection.  Continued use of these methods helps to ensure the infection stays gone and your body regains its natural inner balance.  A few natural cures include the following:

•    Drinking plenty of water.  Water flushes toxins from the body

•    Eliminating sugar from your diet.  Yeast feeds on sugar, which enables it to grow even more, worsening the infection.
•    Eating yogurt regularly or placing some on a tampon and inserting it to the vagina.
